Snowbelt is a mix of musicians primarily from Western New York State and Northeast Ohio. The primary songwriter and member is Joe Cavaretta. The beginning of Snowbelt started with Joe Cavaretta’s album Market Street in 2009. In 2011, the name Snowbelt was adopted in the release of the album Misinformed by the Misinformed.

This is Snowbelt’s newest release and has a very similar feel to the Misinformed by the Misinformed album. The songwriting for Long Day started right after Misinformed by the Misinformed was complete. The recording of Long Day took place from December of 2013 - June of 2015 and was recorded at various apartments and houses throughout Northeast Ohio and Western New York.

Snowbelt has released it’s albums under Turret Records. Turret Records is an independent record company owned and operated by Joe Cavaretta. Other releases by Turret Records include Northern Spy’s Stare at the Sun released in February of 2015.
